Ceará's growth

According to the Brazilian Institute of Research Services Monthly Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the State of Ceará was the fastest growing in the whole country in volume of tourist activities. Figures show an increase of 9.9%, a rate almost three times higher than the average of Brazil in the first half.

Arialdo Pine, the Secretary of Tourism of Ceará, stated that the economy in Ceará is experiencing a growth due to the increase of direct flights and the presence of the state in international and national markets. The forecast for Ceará’s second half is to carry on increasing the number of tourists.

"We are beginning to reap the fruits of years of negotiations with global companies and an intense destination outreach work in priority markets. The increase in the number of flights directly impacts the industry and the state's economy, bringing more income to the Ceará. It is good for the hotel chain for the transport sector, to restaurants, to trade" added the secretary.
